Perspective from an Animal Behavior Professional, Martha Norwalk

I am an animal behavior therapist; dog trainer and radio talk show host and it is a show about animals. I have pretty much devoted my career and life to animals, which included almost twenty years working in veterinary medicine, I have a degree in veterinary technology. As a behaviorist and trainer my goal has been to understand animals, especially dogs and cats, why they do what they do and then most especially how to extinguish bad behavior, replace with new and as quickly as possible solve the problems people have with them.
I work with people privately in their homes to share what I have learned, teach them how to live with their animals, mostly dogs, and solve their problems. I usually only need to see them once. I have been doing this professionally for more than sixty years! I say I take a holistic approach which to me means, I share everything I have found that helps our animal friends with emotional, behavioral and even physical problems.
Over the years I have learned or discovered many things, sometimes general and sometimes very specific, that help me help my clients and their animal friends. I am usually working with the worst of the worst and most challenging behavior cases in dogs and with all the helpful tools I have accumulated in my toolbox we are very successful in bringing these dogs back into balance and good behavior. Besides what I do for my clients and dogs, I explain that the other tools we can take advantage of may be remedies, supplements, processes or procedures or involve other practitioners. That brings me to Dr Nels Rasmussen.
Often, I learn of new stuff because of my radio show about animals, sometimes from guests on the show or listeners that share with me. I do work outside the square so to speak when needed so I am usually open and willing to look at anything that might be helpful and since I know we attract to ourselves what we need to learn and grow from, I try to pay attention.
This is how Dr Nels first crossed my path. It was a long time ago, years and years but I can't tell you how many. It began when I started getting phone calls from listeners, then clients and then even from friends of mine. All telling me I had to check out Dr Nels and the work he was doing to help and heal animals and every one of them had a story to tell me. It all sounded so "woo woo" and strange to me that I kept ignoring what all these folks were trying to tell me! I was not interested and was not going to contact him, I just couldn't be bothered!
Then, out of the blue, I received an invitation from Dr Nels to attend, for free, a workshop he was doing in the area. My calendar was open that day, so I agreed to attend. It was an introductory workshop in an arena/barn at an Equine Vet's place.
Dr Nels began by explaining his work and what it was all about. Then he asked for a human volunteer. That would be me! He had me get on his table, checked me out, found something and in just a few short minutes solved a physical problem that I had had for most of my life!
Then someone brought into the vet a horse having an emergency case of colic. This can be very serious and life threatening. Dr Nels stopped the workshop and walked over and began putting his fingers on the horse. In less than 10 minutes the horse had stopped colicing and was back to normal! Amazing, and I was now onboard and wanted to know more.
After getting to know Dr Nels and learning more about Neuro-Energetic Balancing, I of course, realized it is not "woo woo" at all. It is a legitimate energetic healing modality that anyone can learn how to do. With techniques like this, I have found that some are better at it than others. After years of working with him I now believe that Dr Nels is one of the most gifted healers I have ever met.
Because of that and the fact that this is energetic healing and there is no issue with distance, I asked Dr Nels to be a regular guest on my radio show. He has been doing the show with me now, once a month, for years and it has become consistently our most popular show. I could go on for pages telling you stories of how he healed or changed behavior in animals just by doing a remote treatment on the show!
I also carry his cards with me and often "prescribe him" for my client's animals, usually dogs when I am doing a session with them. Since I work with extreme cases, these dogs are often rescues, have been traumatized in so many ways, and are basket cases due to the past trauma or abuse.
Dr Nels is able to balance their physical bodies, especially their nervous systems which helps us extinguish bad behavior and replace with new so much faster. In some cases, it would be impossible without Dr Nels' help! Dr Nels Rasmussen is the best tool I have added to my box in at least 20 years!!!

No More Neck Pain

Our Brodie is so happy that we contacted Dr. Nels. He had spent several months with his neck causing him severe pain and no vets being able to diagnose the problem.

Dr. Nels’s sessions (we were guided via video call) were easy to follow and his patience with us was appreciated. Brodie is able to move his head freely now and is getting back to his old naughty self. He will be looking forward to touch up sessions with Dr. Nels in the future.

Where faith, energy and science collide!

On a physical level, I have never met Nels.
My beloved animal family of cats, dogs and horses have also never physically met Nels.
Yet, this is where the great vortex of faith energy meets head on with ardent facts and quite frankly, the physical proof of healing is everything.

On a clinical level, the veterinarians that have worked with my cats, dogs and horses have truly
been mesmerized with the response that transpired during their initial and intermediate phases of medical treatment for my pets.

One veterinarian recently informed me that he was truly at a loss for words, adding that my dog's (Annie pictured here) pathology report showed significant signs of improvement. What was more perplexing to him was the fact that symptomatic presentation had actually been reversed and that there was no medical explanation for what had just transpired. Lastly, he concluded that he and his veterinary cohort were truly shocked, that they had never witnessed anything like this and that it would be reviewed in a case study!

Naturally, I did not reveal my “ace in the hole” as we all know how often eastern and western beliefs coincide! Best to leave well enough alone and be grateful for the healing action taking place!

For what I have come to know and realize is that Nels, my ever-present distant healer, is my trusted confidant, my ace in the hole and an integral part of my healing, medical team.

Anxious Frenchie Calms Down

Stacy screens calls on Martha Norwalk's Animal World.  Her male Frenchie periodically displays anxious and compulsive behaviors, usually having to do with licking himself or others, but he has also suddenly taken to barking at his favorite barista.  Virtually every quirky thing he has come up with has disappeared after a pure remote session with Dr. Nels.  Here's an update on his latest variation, licking his feet constantly.  Nels rebalanced him on the Sunday morning show with a remote session from Idaho to where Bags lives in Seattle.

Hi Nels -

Hope you are having a good week. Just wanted to give you an update….

Wow did you put a “spell” on Bags? The rest of the day and all Sunday evening he was just relaxed and calm. In the evening, he fell asleep pretty early for him and was asleep all night …and what I couldn’t believe ..no paw licking!
Maybe it was a fluke and Monday night the paw licking would come back…nope! As we settled down in the evening to watch TV on the couch - he sat next to me, put his cute little head down and fell asleep.
His licking was quite intense before your treatment for him on Sunday, so the past few nights have been just amazing.
But honestly, I should not be so amazed because each time you work on him - he balances himself back to the center.
